Our Sunday School ministry helps us to “Grow in Faith Together”. We encourage individuals and families to join a Sunday school class where we can develop deep relationships with one another and in Christ together. We provide classes for all age groups.

Our Children’s Sunday School classes are broken down by preschool: ages 3-4, Kindergarten: ages 5-6, Early Elementary: ages 7-9, Upper Elementary: ages 10-11, Youth: ages 12-18. We offer Sunday School groups for every stage of adult life as well including our Family Connections class & also revolving Topical Study classes.

The Women’s Ministry at our church provides a nurturing environment for women to build lasting friendships and support each other. We enjoy fellowship through activities like craft days and fun outings, while also dedicating ourselves to service.  Alongside our activities, we prioritize spiritual development through Bible study, prayer, and encouraging one another.”  Throughout the year, ladies of all ages are invited to take part in Discipleship Groups on varying topics like Anxiety, Depression and other topics.

Join the adventure at Upward Faith Kids! We’re here to teach, lead, and guide children as they explore the amazing world of faith in Christ. We want to equip kids with the tools necessary to go into the world and spread the gospel (Mark 16:15) by giving them a firm foundation on the rock, Jesus Christ (Luke 6:48).  

Cross Trained Youth is the youth ministry of First Baptist Church of Maxville. Our goal with this ministry is to be a place where young people are strengthened in faith and equipped for life.  We also care about fun and community service.  Cross Trained offers a variety of activities like regular cookouts, game nights, lock-ins, trips, and, of course, youth camp. Cross Trained meets on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am and Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm.

Musical worship is a vital part of the Christian life and our Sunday morning services.  We worship through music by incorporating hymns, gospel favorites, and contemporary worship songs in our services.  We are accompanied by a variety of instruments that deliver an acoustic sound like piano, guitars, and percussion.  Led by our music director, Ed McCreary, our worship services incorporate the voices of our worship team and congregational choir.  We invite those with instrumental skills to join us and any voice can be a part of our congregational choir.

The Bridge Builders at FBC Maxville is the heartbeat of service.  From visiting the sick, cleanup and building crews, first impressions, and more, there is a place for everyone to serve the Lord through our Bridge Builders.  Our goal is to be a bridge of help and hope to those in our church and community.
